Since theology (theos+logos) involves words or language about God, generosity has to be attached. It was God who created all things to be good and generously gave to humanity to inhabit and care for and throughout, Scripture bears witness to the character of God as generous. Created in the image of God, we too are to be a generous people, and giving financially is one of those ways.
As a community we practice generosity because: our faith is made stronger through giving and receiving together, the satisfaction that comes in following Jesus' example of generosity toward those most in need, the privilege of using resources to continue telling God's story and to help bring measurable change in the world. It's a thrilling kind of joy, and we invite you to join us in it by giving financially to support the mission and work of IKON.
